Bike Park Staff
Bike Park Staff at Fiddlehead play a critical role in creating a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming
riding environment. This position supports daily bike park operations, trail building and maintenance, rental
operations, and guest experience. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, adaptable, safety-focused, and energized by
helping others learn and enjoy riding in a professionally managed outdoor facility.

- Schedule: Weekends required, with select weekdays; variable hours based on weather and programming
- Pay Range: $16–$17 per hour
- Reports To: Bike Park Lead
- Location: On-site at Fiddlehead Farm & Forest (Fletcher, NC)
- Start Date: Immediate
Qualifications

CPR, First Aid, and/or Wilderness First Aid certification required
-
High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience in the bike industry preferred

Trail building and trail maintenance experience preferred

Strong understanding of bike safety, riding etiquette, and park flow
-
Demonstrated passion for cycling and outdoor recreation

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Physical ability to perform maintenance, safety, and emergency response tasks
Responsibilities
Park Operations & Safety
-
Serve as a primary point of contact for Bike Park check-in and guest information
-
Enforce and uphold all Bike Park safety protocols and policies
-
Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards
-
Respond to incidents and emergencies as a first responder when needed
-
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
-
Maintain accurate documentation, including:

Safety inspections

Incident reports
-
Maintenance logs

Equipment status
-
Equipment & Facility Management
-
Oversee Bike Park rental operations, including:

Equipment fitting and sizing
-
Inventory tracking
-
Maintenance scheduling
-
Quality control checks

Maintain cleanliness and organization of:

Rental facilities
-
Bike park zones
-
Equipment storage areas
-
Safety equipment
-

Complete daily setup and end-of-day cleanup procedures

Monitor overall facility condition and report issues promptly
Trail & Infrastructure Support

Assist with trail building, repair, and routine maintenance

Coordinate with Bike Park Lead and Facilities Manager on:

Maintenance needs

Infrastructure improvements

Safety recommendations

Logistical requirements

Program & Event Support

Assist with planning and execution of Bike Park events and programs

Provide consistent guidance and support throughout the Bike Park

Support special initiatives, clinics, and camps

Collaborate with the team on operational and facility improvements

Contribute to the development and refinement of safety protocols
Administrative & Team Support

Complete assigned daily tasks to a high standard
